What is the Pink Lounge process of salt therapy?Halogenerators grind and disperse pharmaceutical grade salt in high concentration inside the room. Salt Therapy contains anti-flammatory and anti-bacterial properties of salt that may allow you to breathe easier.

How many sessions does a person need?If you have mild symptoms, they can be improved or even be alleviated within the first intital treatment. After one session you may feel results, but we recommend multiple treatments. If you experience chronic conditions, we suggest that you come numerous times a week within the first 6-8 weeks.

How sterile is the Pink Lounge and can I pick up germs?Our lounge is cleaned and wiped down after each session. Salt is anti-bacterial and contains anti-inflammatory properties of the dry sodium chloride. As you breathe in the dry microscopic particles you are building a protective layer inside your sinus and respiratory system that may stave off illness and infection.

What kind of salt does the Pink Lounge use and where does it come from?Himalyan salt is rock salt mined from Punjab region of modern Pakistan. The salt has a pinkish tint due to impurities within the mineral. The Dead Sea is a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and the West Bank to the west. Its surface and shores are located at the Earth's lowest elevation on land.

What is proper salt room etiquette?We want to make sure all of our guests recieve the ultimate salty experience. When you visit Pink Lounge: Dry Salt Therapy, it is a time to Just Breathe and relax. We kindly ask that you do the following:

What should I wear?Comfortable clothing is recommended. Our salt beds are private and ideal for skin exposure. You can change into clothing that will expose the areas where you want the salt to reach.

Is it safe for pregnant women?Yes. Dry Salt Therapy is 100% natural and is a great substitute for pregnany women who want to avoid using over-the-counter or prescription drugs during their pregnancy. If you are pregnant, we suggest consulting with your doctor before trying halotherapy.

Can I bring something to eat or drink to my session?There is no food or drink allowed.

Is it safe for children?Yes. Dry salt therapy is a completely drug-free treatment for children. Children are more prone to respiratory problems and other viruses, which means they will benefit from Halotherapy greatly.

Should I stop using my medication when using salt therapy?No. Dry salt therapy should be used as a complementary treatment. People who use salt therapy often find that after using salt therapy it can reduce their dependence of medications or reduct the severity of the illness. We still suggest that you speak with your doctor being doing so.

Cancellation and late arrival policy?If you have a group session and you arrive more than 7 minutes past time you will need to reschedule. If you have a private room, you can continue without making a new reservation, but realize you will still end at your scheduled time. Please note, we do not offer refunds. However, if you give us at least 24 hours notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward another session. However, if you do not cancel with at least 24 hours notice, you will lose any payments you have already made.

I am sick. Can I still come to my session?We recommend that you consult your doctor if you have any concerns. You should avoid treatment if you are experiencing fever, active tuberculosis, COPD in the third stage, bleeding or drug and alcohol intoxication. We ask that you be respectful of others by not coming in and while actively sick or if you feel you are contagious. Please consult your healthcare provider before making an appointment if you have the following health conditions as Halotherapy is not recommended for: Acute stage of respiratory diseases Pulmonary tubercolosis Recent heart attack Hyperthyroidism Lung cancer Pulmonary mycosis Post myocardial infarction Intoxication, including drug and alcohol Severe hypertension All contagious diseases All cancer during chemotherapy/radiation treatment Fever
